Data Security
HSS is committed to protecting the sensitive information of our clients and takes this matter seriously. We continuously monitor the information and data available to us to prevent and avoid any fraudulent or suspicious behavior.
While we do our utmost to protect our clients and partners, we also urge you to support our efforts by fulfilling your duty to detect any potential fraudulent behavior by malicious parties exploiting the name of HSS to deceive you.
Here are some tips on how to recognize online fraud methods to ensure the safety and security of your sensitive information.
Being aware and vigilant to recognize fraudulent and malicious emails and other forms of fraudulent communication is essential for protection against fraud and theft. Common warning signs of online fraud methods include:
- Unexpected payment requests: Requests not made by HSS for urgent payment of financial overcharges. HSS does not request money other than the subscription value in the HSS electronic application for using the HSS name. This method is used for fraud and sending money and providing personal information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details.
- Requests for personal information: Requests for personal and/or financial information for fraud, identity theft, and other crimes.
- Misleading domain names: Links containing spelling errors or having similar addresses to real sites (e.g., HSS BROKER.com / HSS SERVICES.org / ar, etc.). If you are in doubt about the authenticity of any site using the HSS name, please always visit our official website (https://hss-uae.com/) or contact the HSS Customer Service Center via email (support@hss-uae.com).
Types of Online Fraud
Fraudulent and malicious emails: These are the most common methods of online fraud, aiming to deceive you by pretending to be from a known source like HSS (e.g., receiving an email that appears to be from HSS) to prompt you to share sensitive personal information, account details, or send money. They may also include a request to register for a competition to win prizes.
Identity theft: This occurs when someone deceives you into revealing or providing personal, financial, or account information. Identity thieves often claim to be from well-known companies and send you emails or call you, asking you to respond to their questions or directing you to a fraudulent webpage that asks for personal information such as credit card numbers, account passwords, or even HSS credentials.
Credit card fraud: This happens when a credit card is lost or stolen and used by someone else. Credit card fraud primarily occurs through the hacking of card account data during regular use. Stolen card data is often used to attempt fraudulent online purchases.
Spam and viruses: In our field of work, customers often receive an email claiming that HSS offers promotional deals and fake prizes, asking you to open an attachment to complete the registration process. This attachment is likely a virus. Therefore, we ask you not to open the attachment and to report it to the Customer Service Center at the following email: support@hss-uae.com.
Activation code: Text messages containing an activation code are sent only once to complete the registration process after downloading the HSS mobile application. Please ignore any other messages you receive. HSS will not request your activation code by phone or email. To protect the privacy of your account, please do not share the activation code with anyone.
