Privacy Policy

HSS has developed this privacy policy to clarify its practices regarding the use of any personal information it collects about HSS clients and users regarding other services provided by HSS (such as HSS websites and applications). This privacy policy aims to allow these clients and users to understand how HSS handles their personal information along with their rights related to that information.

In general, HSS will handle the personal information shared by clients or users, along with other information it may collect in connection with the services provided, in a lawful, fair, and transparent manner. HSS has considered internationally recognized principles on personal data protection in defining its policies, such as purpose limitation, storage limitation, data minimization, data quality, and confidentiality.

1. Data Controller and Data Protection Officer

The controller of all personal data processing activities carried out through the websites or applications managed by HSS, headquartered in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

2. Personal Data Processed

When providing services to clients, service providers, or users through the websites or applications managed by HSS (collectively referred to as "HSS Services").

A. Name, Contact Information, and Other Personal Data

HSS App Platform

When requesting services from HSS via the websites, you will be asked to provide personal data. This may include your name, surname, phone number, full address, and submission of official government-issued identification documents and information.

HSS Websites

On many sections of the HSS websites – particularly on account creation pages and forms – you will be asked to provide personal data such as your name, phone number/mobile number, email address, country of residence, and information regarding the company you work for and your role. If the services offered on these websites require payment, or when you participate in surveys, promotions, or contests that may be available on the HSS website, or when you contact HSS through the contact details provided on these sites (or otherwise, by phone or email with HSS customer service), HSS may collect additional data you choose to provide, as necessary to handle your request or inquiry. The same applies to information you choose to disclose in certain sections of the HSS websites that allow you to participate in public forums or send direct messages to HSS.

HSS Applications

When creating an account on the HSS applications, you will be asked to provide personal data such as your name (first and last), mobile number, email address, and information – along with your address (either based on your location or selected on a map).

Service Providers

The HSS app may receive personal data about you from its clients and service providers to allow HSS services to complete their services from these clients to you as the intended service recipient.

B. Data Related to Users’ Devices

HSS Mobile Applications

By choosing to install HSS applications, you grant HSS permission to install the selected app on your mobile device ("device") and to access your personal data and other information stored on your device that is required for successful installation (such as device model, OS version, screen resolution, network connection type, language, etc.). This data collection is an integral part of installing and configuring HSS apps, and therefore cannot be objected to unless you uninstall the app from your device. Once the app is installed, you may be asked to allow the app to send and read SMS messages on your device, send a verification code via SMS, and grant automatic login access upon successful receipt of the code when using HSS apps.

C. Data Related to Your Location

HSS Mobile Applications

Once you install the HSS app, you may be asked to allow the app to access your device’s location even when you’re not using the app and to access the map features on your device. This is intended to allow HSS to provide services more accurately and helpfully through the app, especially by letting you determine your location for quick service delivery. If you consider continuous location access too intrusive, you can configure your device to share location only while using the apps.

D. Call Recording

When you call the HSS customer support team via phone, HSS records the call made between you and the customer support representative. This is primarily for keeping evidence of service-related requests or complaints handled over the phone (to allow HSS to show how they were addressed), as well as for quality control and training purposes. You will be notified through a pre-recorded message played at the beginning of the call.

F. Special Categories of Personal Data

HSS typically does not need to process more sensitive categories of personal data, such as data revealing your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, union membership, or other sensitive personal information about you.

G. Browsing Data

HSS Websites and Applications

The operation of HSS websites and applications involves using computer systems, software, and procedures that routinely collect information about website and app users. While HSS does not collect this information to identify individual users, it is still possible to identify them either directly from this information or by combining it with other data collected – therefore, such data is considered personal. This includes standard metrics related to your operating system and IT environment, such as your IP address, location (country), domain names of your computer, URI addresses of requested resources on websites or apps, request times, the method used to submit requests to the web server, the size of files obtained in response, the status code of the server’s response (success, error, etc.), and so on. This data is used to compile statistical information on website/app usage, ensure proper operation, and identify errors or misuse.

H. Cookies and SDKs

HSS may process your personal data through cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies to improve your experience on HSS websites or applications.

HSS Websites

Information regarding the use of cookies can be found in the cookie policy available on each website.

6. Modifications

This privacy policy came into effect on November 23, 2024. HSS reserves the right to fully or partially modify this privacy policy or merely update its content, for example, due to changes in applicable law. HSS will inform you of any material changes once implemented (via a pop-up on the HSS website and email notifications sent to clients/users/recipients on HSS mailing lists). The changes are binding once published.
